A full performance report is useful when you have time to study it. Most indie makers first need a smaller answer: is the page fast on a phone, is it fast on a desktop, and what should I fix first?
IndieSpeed runs Google PageSpeed Insights for both device types. Each score comes from a fresh Lighthouse lab test. The score is a weighted summary of several performance metrics, so it is a signal rather than a permanent grade. Network conditions, page content, and normal test variation can change it from one run to the next.
When Google has enough eligible Chrome traffic, the result also shows Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint, and Cumulative Layout Shift from the Chrome UX Report. That field data describes real visits across a rolling reporting window. A small or new site may not have enough public data. IndieSpeed says “not enough public Chrome data” when that happens.
The last part is the useful part: three fixes. IndieSpeed ranks the failed Lighthouse insights by their estimated savings and the scored metrics they can improve. The estimates are not promises. They are a short starting order, with Google’s guidance linked beside every item.
The check is free. It needs no account, card, or premium plan. IndieSpeed stores no lookup history and publishes no directory of checked pages. Google must receive and load the public URL to measure it, so the form asks visitors not to paste private or signed links.
